Democrats, Not Bush, Best to Counter a Recession, Poll Says
Source: Bloomberg

Jan. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Americans increasingly expect a recession this year and they're looking to Democrats more than President George W. Bush for a solution, according to a Bloomberg/Los Angeles Times survey.

The pessimism was shared widely, with more than two-thirds of those polled saying the economy is doing badly, up from 56 percent in December. That is the most negative sentiment since the poll began asking the question in 1997.
. . .

Almost eight in 10 poll participants said a recession is likely this year, up from 71 percent in December, and only 16 percent now call a downturn unlikely. Almost four in 10 said a recession is very likely. The negative outlook spanned income groups and political affiliations. Nine in 10 respondents who have household income above $100,000 said they expect a slump as did a majority of Democrats, Republicans and independents.

By a margin of 51 percent to 29 percent, respondents to the survey said Democrats can handle the economy better than Bush.

3. The Wall Street talking heads don't think so......
the other day they were blaming all the present economic instability on the CHANCE that there might be a Democratic President in the White House in 2008. :banghead: That's right, our country's monetary woes can all be blamed on the Democrats who MIGHT finally hold and unbreakable majority in 2008. Like the Republican policies of the past 7 years have had NOTHING to do with our present economic meltdown, nothing at all. :wtf:

And the talking heads sit there on TV and say this shit with a straight face. And of course there isn't a dissenting opinion anywhere in sight. Yep, yep yep.....it's those evil Democrats, who've had every bit of legislation they proposed in the past 7 years tabled or shredded who are the REAL culprits here. :eyes:

Anyone who remains unconvinced that the American media is nothing but a gigantic Conservative propaganda machine should be lobotomized. Or perhaps they already have been.

5. Olbermann collected all those segments and they were from Fox Noise
If it makes you happy, the stock market started climbing in the fall of 1992 as Clinton lead old Bush in the polls. Analysts called it the "Billy bounce" in anticipation of new leadership.
