Clinton Says Campaign Needed More Help
Source: ABC News

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Senator Clinton denied allegations Monday morning that her campaign manager was scapegoated, saying "that is not the case at all. She is a dear friend, a trusted adviser and there's just too much to be done."

...

"We had to add some more people and she’s remaining as my senior adviser working with me on politics and a lot of very difficult issues that we are confronting. There really is no significant change it’s merely that we’ve got to get more help we just don’t have enough help and we are putting in more people."

Clinton was asked if the move will hurt her among Latino voters. "No not at all we have a very strong base and she is deeply involved in the campaign going forward as she always has been for 16 years"

When asked how Clinton feels going into tomorrow after a rough weekend, Clinton looked beyond tomorrow to March 4th saying “Well we always knew this was going to be rough. I had no illusions about that. I feel very good about Ohio and Texas and were going forward.”

1. What about Wisconsin, Hillary?
Wisconsin is an important state. She didn't even mention it.

I'm sure she has campaign plans for that state. How could you not?

On Tuesday night, after the MD, DC and VA primaries--Obama is flying to Madison
for a rally.

After a long string of wins, he'll carry quite the battle cry into Wisconsin.

3. Oh no....Cheerios and milk on my computer screen.
Ok, can I just tell you what happened. I read the title of your post, just
as I was eating Cheerios.

Never, has this happened to me. The milk from my Cheerios went all over the screen. That
laugh was unexpected and involuntary. You've got talent, kid!

LOL! Nice, dry humor that really hit my funny bone---or something!

I still can't believe I did that.

I must go...and get paper towels.

11. My take-I don't think they were expecting to have to still be running
at least not still in the primaries. They had to think, they had every reason to, that they would have things rapped up by now and she could be on a huge national campaign not slugging it out district by district with anyone.

They had to know that Edwards was going to get shut down by their friends in the media. Obama? even Rangel said that he didn't expect him to make it very far but he endorsed him in the meantime anyway. Biden? No DK? Sorry no way (see Edwards)

They probably had a whole plan to portray her as being the top professional for the job (not hard to sell with someone as personally impressive as she is) and ready to go from day one and all that.

Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

12. Absolutely! The plan was to sweep Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan
and Florida before anyone who wasn't a political junkie even realized that the election season had started. Piling all those states into Super Tuesday was part of the plan.

13. It is a good plan
in fact it usually works for the Republicans -get your guy out of having to answer questions and debate and polish him up to be all shiny - but we aren't the Republicans. They "stay on message" (right or wrong) we are "nuanced" sure it a great excuse for the corporate press but it does hold true. She, they, tried to run a republican campaign in a democratic race thats like trying to win best-dressed at a Dead show.

It was a good plan only this whole Obama thing came out of nowhere and they clearly don't like having to get back down to this level. Their heart is just not in it.

Just my opinion.

14. Well, actually, yes, she is scheduled to be at the
Founders Day Gala in Milwaukee on Feb 16. I believe Obama is also expected at the event.

4. Clinton was asked if the move will hurt her among Latino voters.
There is just something so odd to me about that comment. Was Clinton's appeal to Latino voters due to having a Latino campaign manager? What does that imply about her replacement? Maybe I'm just inserting my own subliminal message there.

5. Her "not at all" was a bit presumptuous.
Latino voters will answer that question, not Clinton.

6. The CBC's not buying it
The morning drivein news featured Bill Clinton apparently doing standup comedy, something about being used to somebody playing music (presumably Hail to the Chief) whereever he went, and now nobody does so he feels lonely and lost.

The CBC also said that Bill had considerable influence in the campaign in general and changing campaign managers may have been his idea.

7. "Always knew this was going to be rough."
Previously she predicted it would be over after Super Tuesday.
