Clinton revives campaign in Ohio, Texas
N.Y. senator also takes Rhode Island, NBC projects; Obama wins Vermont

BREAKING NEWS
NBC News and MSNBC
updated 6 minutes ago
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton threw up a roadblock on Sen. Barack Obama’s path to the Democratic presidential nomination by winning the giant Ohio and Texas primaries, NBC News projected Wednesday morning.

“For everyone here in Ohio and across America who’s been counted out and refused to be knocked out, and for everyone who has stumbled but stood right back up, and for everyone who works hard and never gives up, this one is for you,” Clinton said at a raucous rally in Columbus on a night when she took both of the two major prizes on offer.

Clinton, D-N.Y., and Obama, D-Ill., split the smaller Rhode Island and Vermont primaries, according to NBC News.

took Rush's advice and crossed party lines to vote for Hillary.

I also think the whole Che commie flag thing didn't set too well with many Texans either.....

5. And prove what....
...that a couple million votes can be offset by a bunch of arm twisters at a coffee klatch? If caucus goers feel so strongly about their respective candidates then go to the polls instead of hiding in the open.

8. In Texas don't they have to do both?
I was listening to CNN earlier and they said that voters have to vote traditionally then go back to the caucuses. Something like that. I was listening to Clinton talk about this. Clearly I wasn't listening very intently.

It's not an either or kind of thing. First you vote then you caucus.

If you already knew this and I misunderstood your post then just ignore my mistake.

44. Its about the relative number of supers needed.
Obama may actually be able to put her out of reach of the title or come close (I don't know how this figures out with the new counts yet).

If Hillary needs 400 supers and Obama needs 50 is that really a similar position (or likelihood of being nominated)?

16. Hillary will ensure a McCain presidency

She will lose in the delegate count and drag the whole sorry process out until June. Along the way her mean vindictiveness and ego will provide plenty of dirt against Obama until the convention. She might as well give her dirty playbook to McCain 'cause the only ones that benefit will be the Republicans.
Thanks Hillary!
The Clinton Machine will ensure that even a loser like McCain can win the presidency.

Hillary runs her campaign now? You haven't been paying much attention to history, then. If they don't have anything solid to throw against Obama, then they'll make something up. That's what Swiftboating is.

60. You know, pnwmom,
I came to the conclusion that I'd rather have the dirt in our own primary than give the GOP the chance later. It's not a popular opinion (as I'm sure I'll hear in response to my post) but the fact is, if we take the worst out of play they're going to be making up stuff at the last minute instead of all along. Not sure I'm comfortable with that, but it seems where we're headed.

As an addendum: my super-GOP father says that in the end, if Hillary is the Democratic nominee, he will "have" to vote for her. He absolutely, positively hates McCain. So I'm not sure of anything anymore.

45. Sorry buddy it ain't over until the voting is over...........
March 8, 2008 Wyoming caucus
March 11, 2008 Mississippi primary
April 22, 2008 Pennsylvania
May 3, 2008 Guam caucus
May 6, 2008 Indiana primary
May 6, 2008 North Carolina
May 13, 2008 West Virginia primary
May 20, 2008 Kentucky primary
May 20, 2008 Oregon primary
June 3, 2008 Montana primary
June 3, 2008 South Dakota primary
June 7, 2008 Puerto Rico caucus

There are some 747 delegates and superdelegates still yet to be had. In my book its still anyones game. A total of 2,024 delegates are needed. I don't think either should concede just yet. There is only an 86 delegate difference between them right now. People worry about a brokered convention, wow imagine we are even talking about one that, we have candidates so close together. Some people said the Democrats could have the dream ticket. I think it could just happen. They both need the majority of the remaining delegate count to win and its not completely clear that all would go when the contests are held.

I want the best candidate to win and right now I would take either, because I want to WIN.

Keep on spouting the line. One would think competition between two great candidates would be a win for the Democratic party, considering every one of the Republican candidates has gone down in flames.

Looks to me like we've got two great candidates still in the race, and they've only got one.

she is not going to win the delegate count ..... can you Hillary-bots understand that? Unless she cheats and whines about Florida, she will do nothing for the party but give amno for the republicans. She had to win big with the delegates in Ohio - she didn't. The only reason she should continue is to jockey for a V.P position - fat chance that will happen after she has poisoned the well. Thanks to Hillary's ego we will all be enjoying a McCain presidency and cursing Clinton for destroying Obama's chances in the general election.
Hillary dosen't give a shit about the Democratic Party - just ask Howard Dean.

47. What?!?
What you and a few others are saying is insane! Bill and Hill being repubs?! Dems sinking boat?! No, seriously, what Bill Clinton did while in the white house was beneficial not only to the wealthy, but to the poor and middle class. I am supporting Hill, and although that 3am ad was pretty disturbing (I was a bit livid-), I hold the same view about the statement of the GOP being the party of ideas for quite sometime...of course, "not good ideas". Either way it goes, our support should be going to the democratic nominee...either Obama or Hillary will suffice in a contest against McCain. I, for one,am broke enough as it is...I truly believe that America does not want to have more of what McCain brings to the table (the same crap that Bush has already served). Hillary won in some big states...you cannot deny that there are a lot of people still supporting her, but this does not mean that these people won't support Obama if need be.

After Hillary says McCain would be a better choice for president than Obama? Do you think Obama supporters will ignore this? Or repeating that Obama supporters are nothing more than a personality cult? Even if Hillary wins the nomination she will have no chance without the vote of Obama supporters, Obama supporters that will no longer consider voting for her. She is done.

49. I am directly in the middle of these two but......
THERE IS NO WAY THAT HILLARY COULD MATHEMATICALLY WIN UNLESS THE SUPER DELEGATES OVERRIDE THE ELECTORATE.

...and that is never going to happen.

....if it does happen, you will see the biggest backlash in voter disenfranchisement in history and John McCain will win.

Is Hillary so wanting to be President that she would do all that is mentioned above just so she could have a chance to fight in the general election?

I'm not a Obamababy, I'm not a Clintonite ...I am a Progressive Democrat who wants to kick the living shit out of McCain. They are both excellent candidates but really in this time and place the PARTY HAS TO COME FIRST.

Looking at the numbers how the hell could any Hillary supporter be ok with her prostituting the super delegates in order to win?
