Warren Buffett Takes Top Spot
Forbes
The number 13 has long been considered unlucky by superstitious people around the globe. How fitting, then, that Bill Gates' reign as the world's richest person ends after his 13th year at the top.

Despite being worth $58 billion, $2 billion more than last year, Gates is now the world's third-richest person, ceding the top spot ranking to his good friend and partner in philanthropy, Warren Buffett, whose net worth jumped $10 billion to $62 billion. Ranked No. 2 is Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim Helú, whose fortune has doubled in just two years to $60 billion. Read more...

4. true, they don't need to work for it..
controlling the worlds central banks, including the "federal" reserve, makes it quite easy for them to loot the planets wealth.

6. You're probably correct.
Publicizing such information serves almost no good purpose, and can attract unwanted attention.

19. You can do it too!
Here's how to get 60 billion dollars:

Get yourself a job that pays you 1 million dollars a year.

Work there for 60,000 years.

Now you have as much as Mr. Buffet.

Make sure you keep it on the first floor. 60 billion dollars weighs a bit more than 6,600 tons.

20. The World's Billionaires
Source: Forbes

After 13 years on top, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. That honor now belongs to his friend and sometimes bridge partner Warren Buffett. Riding the surging price of Berkshire Hathaway stock, Buffett has seen his fortune swell to an estimated $62 billion, up $10 billion from a year ago. Gates is now worth $58 billion and is ranked third richest in the world. He is up $2 billion from a year ago, but would have been as rich--or richer--than Buffett, had Microsoft not made an unsolicited bid for Yahoo! at the beginning of February. Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim Helú now ranks as the world's second richest person with a net worth of $60 billion.

22. supports higher taxes
one thing I like about Buffett is that he actually believes in a progressive tax system where the rich pay at increased tax rates, and he supports raising the current rates

25. OTOH, Gates has been giving large chunks of money to the Gates Foundation
for years. And Buffet's impressed enough, that he's going to be leaving his fortune to the Foundation.
