Cheney, Saudi king to hold oil talks
Source: Reuters

RIYADH - US Vice President Dick Cheney on Friday met Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah for talks that will include discussions on cooperation to stabilise the oil market, where prices have reached record highs.

‘I’m sure they will talk about the need for a cooperative way forward to try and stabilise this market, reduce the volatility in the market, and serve the interests of both consumers and producers alike,’ John Hannah, national security adviser to Cheney, told reporters.

Oil prices have risen in recent weeks to record highs above $100 a barrel because investors have piled into commodities as the value of the US dollar has sharply fallen. The price fell below $100 on Thursday on fears of a US economic slowdown.

Cheney’s trip follows a visit to Saudi Arabia by President George W. Bush, who in January called for crude oil exporters’ group OPEC to increase production.

1. Conversation goes something like this,
Cheney: "You wanna go huntin' with me pal"?.

Abdullah: "You ever see the square where they chop off the heads"?.

Cheney: "Maybe there is something to that global warming stuff. I heard the weather forecast for Riyadh was 10,000 degrees and cloudy".

Abdullah: "I'm tired of my harem anyway. 72 virgins would be a nice change of pace:.

13. KSA has spiked their fields with radiologic devices to deter invasion
per CIA leaks.

Invasion->blow dirty bombs at bottom of wellheads->petroleum contaminated/unusable.

3. The oily stench of Dick
Cheney was telling Abdullah:

"You can charge whatever you like all spring and summer, but make damn sure you drop the price below $100/barrel a month before McCain's election...."

6. That's a relief, they're talking about oil.
It's great to know that President Cheney is jawboning to get them to open their spigots, instead of plotting an attack on Iran.

8. to make an in-person trip, Tricky Dick must have something bigger up his sleeve than just thanking
the king of SA. Maybe something like work on putting the Shiite genie back in the bottle in Iraq so SA (a Sunni state) and the US can all share the spoils? ???

Just a hunch.

9. Cheney might soon go the way of Spitzer.
If Cheney tries to buy some services that cannot be legally purchased in America, then he might find that some people in Saudi Arabia are just as skilled as some Americans when it comes to tracing the movement of money.

11. Did you forget the unwritten rule of politics?
It's OK if you're Republican; you can lie, cheat, steal, and rape to your heart's content. But let a Democrat try 1/100th of what a Repunk gets away with and there'll be hell to pay!
