(Ben) Nelson (D-Ne) says Iraq must pay its way
Source: Omaha World Herald

BY JOSEPH MORTON

WASHINGTON – It's time for Iraq to start paying its own way, Sen. Ben Nelson said Wednesday.

The Nebraska Democrat wants the Iraqi government to pay back any money the United States spends on future reconstruction efforts in that country.

"The American people are growing weary of financing every aspect of Iraq's resurgence," he said.

Nelson said the United States already has paid about $45 billion on Iraqi reconstruction efforts.

3. That's Our Wonderful Party
Lieberman, Nelson, Landrieu. It's really the Democratic party that has the big tent.

Any liberal in the repub party would be kicked out the second they voiced their liberal opinions. But we welcome conservative IDIOTS like Nelson or Lieberman, with open arms.

4. Even MORE money for our corporate masters!
I'd bet even money that if we'd just get the fuck out, that the average Iraqi would gladly rebuild on their own.

The whole idea of war profiteers doing quality work is laughable just to begin...

7. Iraq will pay us back once they get on their feet!
Honest, they will!

It's in our best interest to fight over there, so we don't have to fight over here! It's in our best interest to pay high gas prices over there, so we don't have to pay them over here!

See how that works!!!

Candy and flowers get strewn in the street every day, and we've been winning the hearts and minds of everyday Iraqis! We've LIBERATED them, can't you people see that???

AND, if some of us Republicans seem to make some money from some well-placed investments, well, that doesn't hurt anybody!

10. So, reparations have been paid by the Bush regime?
Strange, somehow I must have missed that part!
I mean, with 1.2 million dead Iraqis as a direct result of Bush's war of aggression and 5 to 6 million refugees this would be a hefty sum. I haven't read about this.

And why are Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell, Rumsfeld et al. not in The Hague for their war of aggression against the Iraqi people?

On a historical scale Bush is now a worse mass murderer than Pol Pot was in Cambodia.
