"We are in the throes of a recession," he said in an interview on CNBC cable business news network.

2. Greenspan 2 DAYS AGO: More than 50 percent chance of U.S. recession
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSL0630907620080406

MADRID (Reuters) - There is more than a 50 percent chance the United States could go into recession, former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan told El Pais newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

However, the U.S. has not yet entered recessionary state marked by sharp falls in orders, strong rises in unemployment and intensive weakening of the economy, he said.

This is becoming sickening.

5. Apparently, a lot happened yesterday.
I mean, we went from a 50% probability of a recession on Sunday, to being " in the throes of a recession" on Tuesday.

??? Worst. Monday. Ever. ???

He's known. He's known AND didn't warn the American people. Just kept accepting what Cheney/Bush told him to say, the guy is reprehensible and he's unrepentant. I doubt he ALONE could've prevented this economic disaster, but it couldn't have hurt.
