A British businessman is suing a Virginia Beach man in federal court, accusing him of defamation for distributing a forged Iraqi arrest warrant in the businessman's name.

Richard J.C. Galustian, a consultant who lives in the United Arab Emirates, contends that the Virginia Beach man, Lawrence T. Peter, the director of an association of private security firms in Iraq, sent news of the warrant to hundreds of people in his organization as well as to military and diplomatic circles.

Galustian has also filed a motion to change his original February complaint to add a new defendant to the defamation suit — John J. "Jack" Holly, of Escondido, Calif., a retired Marine Corps colonel and a high-ranking civil logistics official with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Baghdad...

...In the original lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Norfolk, Galustian said he is in a dispute with other businessmen over his shares in SkyLink Arabia, a company that does business in the transportation and logistics business in the Middle East, principally in Iraq. Galustian said he was a co-creator of the company and had previously been promised 10 percent of the company by other SkyLink creators, but that they later refused to give him his shares.
