Baghdad, Apr 15, (VOI) – Official spokesperson for the Multi National Forces (MNF) in Iraq said on Wednesday that his forces seized important al-Qaeda documents, that belong to a senior al-Qaeda member named 'Abu-Sofian,' which reveal what the commander described as "future plots and tactics that aim at dividing Iraq."

General Kevin Bergner said in a press conference in Baghdad that his forces "seized important al-Qaeda documents that belong to a senior member named 'Abu-Sofian,' during the last two days."

"The documents reveal future plots and tactics that aim at dividing Iraq," he added.
Bergner did not identify the sort of the documents and where exactly they were seized, but said "the documents were seized northeast of Baghdad."

He added that the documents "stress future plots that aim at dividing Iraq, depending on violence, sectarian operations provocation, and battling Sahwa (Awakening) fighters that are considered a threat to al-Qaeda, to weaken them, in addition to creating tension between the MNF and Iraqi government."
