Protestors in Burbank criticize ABC's debate questions ("Restore the Fourth Estate")

BURBANK, Calif.—About 50 people are rallying at Disney Studios to protest questions that ABC News journalists asked the Democratic presidential candidates during a debate earlier this week.
Protestors waved signs Friday that read "Restore the Fourth Estate" and "ABC is TMZ," referring to the online celebrity site.

Organizer Rick Jacobs criticizes ABC for focusing on the past gaffes of Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, instead of issues like the war in Iraq and the American economy.

Jacobs says he was offended that Obama was asked why he hasn't worn an American flag pin on his lapel.

"Patriotism isn't defined by a flag pin made in China," says Jacobs.

Too bad Obama didn't come up with it at the time!

All my best retorts seem to come to mind about ten minutes too late too.

2. I agree these weren't debate appropriate questions.
But these are questions he will be asked in the general election campaign by reporters and talking heads, so he better get used to it. Anyone think the Repukes and right wing media will give Obama a pass on any of these issue?

3. That sure seems like a RW talking point to get away w/ saying anthing
Anything at all that gets asked, no matter how heinous, seems to be given a pass & excused because it's what the GOP will be asking.

maybe that's just my imagination, but it seems that most people who keep repeating this are GOP or GOP-lite, present company excluded of course.

4. I think the general campaign will be brutal.
The Repukes aren't happy with McCain as their nominee, but they will still be out for blood. You know what they are capable of. Remember the Willie Horton ad? I don't think it's being GOP-lite, just realistic based on past campaigns. Hope I'm wrong...

10. I think you're correct...
I don't think ABC/Disney was expecting the firestorm following the "debate." From here on to the GE, CorpMedia will have to tread lightly unless they can seize the internet(s).
