Tony Snow cancels speeches at EWU (Taken to Hospital)
Source: KXLY.com

SPOKANE -- Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow has canceled a series of speaking engagements at Eastern Washington University because of illness.

Snow was supposed to make a series of appearances Tuesday at EWU. However, he was taken to the hospital to be treated for exhaustion, in consultation with his doctor, according to a source at the University.

The source said he checked into the hospital at 9:30 a.m.

Snow was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago, and he left his position as press secretary for President Bush in September to deal with the disease. He has said the cancer is in remission.

This week, Snow was hired by CNN to be a conservative commentator. Before being named Press Secretary, he spent several years working at CNN rival Fox News.

I'm certainly no fan of his and I'm pissed at CNN for hiring another wingnut - but I hope you beat this Tony. This doesn't sound good.

14. He's going to be telling a lie
The day he dies. Probably the last words out of his mouth
will be a lie.

I find it hard to feel sorry for someone who has spun the
deaths of more than 4041 Americans and nearly 30,000 seriously
injured.

Who cries for them but their families.

16. Welcome To The Non-Human Beings Club
Because those of us who lack compassion for him, are less than human, according to many here.

I guess it's o.k. that he lives longer, so he can SPIN LIES and bring about the eventual death of more soldiers, and more Americans.

That's acceptable, but him suffering directly, is not.

I have no control over whether he lives or dies, but I won't lose any sleep if it's the latter, nor will I pray for his health so he continues to take up space on this planet.

FUCK lee atwater. So much of what's gone wrong with this country and its politics, and the rise of the worst bad guys since Hitler can be laid directly at his headstone.

It's kind of nice that he finally apologized - probably because he felt the cold breath of the Grim Reaper and knew what was coming next, and didn't want to have to face what he'd earned. But it was - um - a LITTLE late. He might have started a decade or so earlier, if he sincerely wanted forgiveness.

21. The various news organizations are handing
him off to one another sequentially so he can continue to have health insurance. That's my guess.

They must know he cannot do any substantive work in his condition -- but they "like' him and are covering for him to help set up his family.

I don't think he is enormously wealthy unlike others in the biz.

Maybe if these clowns had to pay their bills out of their own pockets or be denied treatment cause they lacked funds they'd get a clue. I don't wish ill on Tony, but it would be an eyeopener to these jerks if they and their families lost their comfortable lifestyles and had to hold community fundraisers to get treatment. Maybe then they'd quit selling the damn Repuke agenda and realize its past time for single payer health care in this country just like the rest of the industrialized world. Maybe then they quit spewing the lies about how health care in Canada and other industrialized countries are not as good as U.S. care.

Yep, CNN stepped in to help a well-heeled member of their little elitist fraternity.

If you happen to just miss that part, then I'd advise you to kindly pay closer attention next time, before you jump in with accusations of trolling Freepers. That's a tomb-stoning offense, and I for one take it very seriously.

Now, on the other hand, if you can still muster your phony praise and sappy well-wishes for that evil, mass-murdering prick and insist that I'm a bad person for looking forward my day of celebration, then I'd say you're a puffed-up hypocrite.

But you go ahead and bask in your self-professed moral superiority.

...and I certainly don't think that actually gloating is.

But I also don't think that it's any more elevated to stand on a soapbox and make public pretense (sincere or not) of giving two shits about the nasty fate of truly evil people who have contributed more to the cause of global human suffering than any of us can fathom, and who've done it all for power and profit, for their God, and maybe even just for shits and giggles.

It that makes me a bad person or a neo-Freeper in your eyes...oh, well.

40. This Is What Sets Democrats Apart From Repubs....
And is a perfect example of why the repubs will continue to roll right over the Democrats for years to come.

All of this sympathy or prayers for a VILE "human" being. You would think it was Ghandi who was sick.

Is there anybody who you would not feel sorry for? What exactly does a person have to do before you wish ill health on them?

If Rove has a heart attack, and gets rushed to the hospital, I'll look forward to all the prayers and well wishes here, because after all, he's a human being, and deserves it.

If you want it for SPINNING & LYING Tony, you had better want it for everybody, because he's PART OF THE PROBLEM, and will Defend this Administration and it's crimes, which you supposedly get so angry over, until the day he dies.

And since he's in the media, he SPINS & LIES to Millions daily, and I guess in your eyes, that's a good thing, so I hope he lives many years, and continues to do so.

51. This post is a perfect example of how addictive hatred is.
It's like the reaction of a drunk to someone taking his or her bottle away, this almost hysterical outrage because people here insist on treating Tony Snow like a human being.

Do you really think it's healthy to have so strong a stake in hating someone that you revile people who refuse to join in? Do you truly imagine that spewing this kind of hateful garbage at a sick human being means you are strong? Smart? Brave?

It doesn't. Quite the opposite.

47. I'd much rather he be alive, healthy and pissing me off on CNN than wasting away to cancer (which

this is more than likely related to.) I hope he recovers soon.

67. It's really hard to show compassion for such people....
...I guess this is what takes a "bigger man than me". I wish him no harm, but I would pray for a lot more righteous people before I would waste my time praying for tony snow.

I would be a bigger hypocrite to say "I care about his well being". He is part of the cancer that is killing this country.

68. There is nothing very virtuous about praying for people you like.
Hatred is part of the cancer that is killing this country.

And anyone who takes part in it is part of the problem.
