1. Some good news we can all get behind...

"Both Democratic candidates are now beating McCain among national registered voters in Gallup Poll Daily trial heats for the fall election. Obama leads McCain by four points, 47% to 43%. Clinton leads McCain by five points, 49% to 44%. Both leads represent the candidates' highest margins over McCain, to date, since Gallup began tracking the general election ballots in early March."

I can't wait for Jan. 20th. :)

4. I expect that this is the beginning of a pattern as more people "get it" that he's the winner
as the excitement will continue to generate. Even I'm starting to feel some tinges of excitement- I don't like to let myself get carried away with expectations of course- not after after so many years deep disappointments and being disheartened. I'm still not healed from the nightmare of 2000. So, I'm way too cautious now to fully let myself go and BELIEVE FOR REAL that we might wind up with Barack Obama as our President- and yet-- last week, listening to his speech in NC, my eyes filled with tears and before I could do anything about it-- I caught myself feeling pure, unadulterated HOPE that we might actually- possibly- be able to pull this off! GO BAMA
