Gas prices hurt but tax holiday no solution: poll
Source: Yahoo News

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sixty nine percent of Americans see gasoline prices as a serious problem for their families but only 41 percent favor a temporary repeal of the gasoline tax as proposed by presidential candidates John McCain and Hillary Clinton, a poll released on Thursday said.

A five-percent reduction in the price of gas, for 90 days, at the expense of our infrastructure. I am forced to conclude that most of that 41% has no idea that the Federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon (they must feel, since it is a TAX, it comprises 75% or more of the retail cost of gas).
