Dayton (OH) Daily NewsCOLUMBUS — Gov. Ted Strickland on Wednesday appointed Nancy Rogers, dean of Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law, to be attorney general, at least until November. She stepped down from her deanship and agreed to not run for the permanent job in the fall.
"She is a person of great accomplishment," Strickland said. She is a national leader in dispute resolution — a skill that will come in handy as attorney general.
At a press conference in the governor's chambers, Rogers said, "It's a shame that the actions of a limited number of persons who did not live up to these values have underminded the public confidence in this office. Rogers said she has "no desire" to run for the office, but "every desire to do the best in the next five months."

I post this as an update to the Marc Dann scandal, which was covered here.
Seems like a good choice to bring some stability back to the office in the wake of Dann -- she is on the board of Legal Services Corp., an organization that provides legal services to the poor, and has been Ohio State law dean since 2001.
Possible contenders for the seat in November include Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher and former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine.
Maybe now we can write "finis" to this embarrassment.
