FBI boosts efforts to find SoCal al-Qaida suspect
Source: AP

LOS ANGELES—The FBI has launched a publicity campaign in Afghanistan to announce a $1 million reward for information about an American from California charged with treason.

Adam Yahiye Gadahn, 29, grew up in Riverside County. He is "an integral part of al-Qaida's media and recruitment branch (and) has endorsed terrorist activity," FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said Friday.

Gadahn was indicted by a federal grand jury in Santa Ana in 2005. He was charged with one count of treason and two counts of providing material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

The FBI's publicity effort campaign will include matchbooks, handbills and posters that will be distributed throughout Afghanistan.

3.  They only need to go to the WH to make charges--lots of treasonous bastards there!
Why spend so much money abroad looking for one American charged with treason, when taxpayer money would be so much more thriftily spent by staying on home soil and actually charging the those with treason who can be found at the WH, or are involved with these same thugs who stole our government?

Damn! That question is beyond my realm of thinking.... :eyes:

4. Wanta bet that when they find this guy (IF he actually exists) that
They make this guy into the biggest thing (threat to our freedoms) since bin Laden?
They'll 'discover' papers on him or on his hard drive that show all kinds of plots
they will find all of this just in time for the Elections

Wanta bet?

10. he exists
There were lots of stories about him, at least in southern California, a few years ago when he started making video tapes and written statements for the group. He's a real nut job, but I'm not all that surprised that it worked out this way. He was raised as a sheep or goat herder in the mountains without electricity and other such modern conveniences by fundamentalist parents, until he was 16 or 18 and went to LA for school. It must have been a complete shock, and it's not surprising that he would choose the sort of life that he has over what we could consider normal for most people in the US. A brother of his was briefly interviewed (ambushed) by a news crew and just said that he had no contact with that brother or most of his family and didn't really care about them. It's a sad story... I don't know why they're making a big deal about it now though.
