Former White House spokesman to discuss the Valerie Plame incident with House

CAPITOL HILL (AP) - Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan will talk more about his book today, this time under oath before the House Judiciary Committee.

McClellan claims in his tell-all book about his years in the Bush White House that he was ordered to say Karl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby were not involved in the leaking of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity.

The committee is likely to focus on Vice President Cheney's role.

In the book, McClellan says the vice president may have have been among the senior White House officials who knew the truth even though he was encouraged to repeat a lie. McClellan also writes that President Bush and Cheney directed him to publicly exonerate Libby, who was Cheney's chief of staff. Another house committee has subpoenaed FBI reports on the agency's interviews with Cheney and the president during its leak investigation.

either have to appear under oath or be arrested. The Committee won't back down and let him testify without being sworn in and no recording of his testimony.
