Judge Gives Feds More Time To Get Gov. (Blagojevich) Indictment
Source: CBS Local Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) ―

A federal judge has given prosecutors an additional three months to obtain an indictment in Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption case.

Chief Judge James Holderman granted the extension Monday, saying the case against Blagojevich is too complex to expect prosecutors to obtain an indictment by a Jan. 7 deadline. He set an April 7 deadline instead.

Holderman says "the ends of justice served by the extension outweigh the best interests of the public and the defendants to a speedy trial."

He says prosecutors need more time to present evidence to a grand jury.

1. starting to sound like a witch hunt
I mean, if he was as obviously guilty as the MSM and Harry Reid imply, it seems like it would be easy to gather the information for an indictment.

2. I sure hope Fitzgerald can come up with "the goods" to nail this creep.......
or it's going to get really, really ugly.
Some pundits are even saying that what has been released so far, doesn't even constitute a crime on Blago's part. :wow:

Man...there's no shortage of drama going on right now!

6. It's good to see someone outside of IL who understands that Blago is a total crook.

I voted for him. He got a couple of good things done and he's better than Judy Baar would've been by a mile.

But he's still a sleazy, dirty, corrupt crook and needs to be in jail alongside George Ryan.
Him and Palin are the two most crooked governors in the country.

And while I'm at it, Roland Burris can go fuck himself too.

We the people of the great state of Illinois want a special election for this seat, not a tainted, otherwise unelectable man propped up by his fellow crooked friends who shamelessly play the race card to try and push his ill-gotten appointment through.

tl;dr Impeach Blago, Duckworth for senate.
I wish the tinfoil hatters and blind partisans on DU would stop defending this creep.

In which case, sooner or later we'll find you guilty of whatever we want to.

God forbid that a complex case might need some extra time

Fitzgerald is doing his job and we should all applaud him for that, corruption is corruption regardless of party and in all honesty its actually a net positive for the dems to be seen as cleaning house when they find somebody corrupt rather then act like the republicans and ignore or hide the one corrupt
