Obama signs public lands reform bill
Source: WASHINGTON (CNN)

Conservationists claimed one of their most significant victories of the new administration Monday as President Barack Obama signed sweeping land reform legislation designating two million additional acres of public wilderness areas.

The federal wilderness designation provides the highest level of government protection from logging and other forms of commercial use and development.

The land protected by the 2009 Omnibus Public Land Management Act extends across nine states.

14. K&R - I remember after the 2000 coup, the 1st thing the illegitimate president did was to revoke all
the national monuments that Clinton had preserved via executive orders. I'm glad to see a smidgen of the "old dem" values come out of DC.
