Pile of potential Minn. Senate ballots dwindling (only 387 left to be counted)
Source: AP

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The pile of unopened absentee ballots that could be counted for Minnesota's delayed Senate contest between Al Franken and Norm Coleman has fallen to just 387.

Deputy Secretary of State Jim Gelbmann said Monday that all cities and counties had complied with a special court's order to submit ballot envelopes and supporting materials for the ballots, which had previously been rejected. The court plans to open eligible ballots Tuesday.

Democrat Franken leads Republican Coleman by 225 votes.

7. Didn't stop them from installing Bush...
They had no jurisdiction, no precedent, no law of any kind that justified what they did, but it sure didn't stop them.

4. Can we protest to get him seated? Is there a reasone there is so little public outrage?
The republic party had people protesting in FL, etc. when they did not really win. If we genuinely win...do we Democrats get to do anything?

5. Now why doesn't CSPAN cover this tomorrow?
I'd be watching if the camera were trained on every ballot opening ... can you imagine?

There would either be deafening silence, or you'd hear singing in the background to the tune of "99 bottles of beer on the wall"

8. Al's a good man and appears by all reasonable counts and actual ballot counts
as well to have won this seat.

I am deeply hoping there is a gigantic political price to pay for the GOP's delay in seating the obvious winner.

And for what it's worth, Go, Al!

10. Republicans are delaying everything they can. They are sore losers and will hope
that all they obstructions will make Obama look bad. They will blame everything they are doing on the Dems. Everything. This is why they should dwindle to nothing and never see the light of day ever again.
