Tracy Police: Sandra Cantu's Body Found

Body Discovered In Irrigation Pond

A body that was identified as Sandra Cantu was found inside a piece of luggage Monday in a San Joaquin County irrigation pond, Tracy police said.

Investigators said they were able to identify Sandra's body based on the clothing she was last seen wearing.

Sandra was last seen March 27 inside Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park, just off West Clover Road.

Farmworkers found a black, sealed case Monday while they were draining a pond near Bacchetti Road, about two miles from Orchard Estates.

Police said it was a black piece of luggage of significant size with both hard and soft sides.

That's horrific. It makes me feel so bad about the world to know we have monsters who walk among us. That little girl didn't even get a chance to live her life yet, I can't imagine why anybody would hurt a child. Well hurt anybody, but hurting a child is so much worse.

22. I know. When I saw the security camera film of her walking, skipping

happily along earlier that day it just filled me with sad, sad disbelief that there are people who would take such innocence away...
I hoped the ending would be happier but even that someone would grab and hold her, terrorizing her and bringing such sorrow to her family.

And killing her? God our soldiers can be traumatized by the killing they do that is proper in war...
but someone could intentionally do this?

I know it happens way too often for way to long but there was something about that happy skip that clutched at my heart.

Hoping there is something lovely after life and that she is enfolded in joy and love. Even if that's true...wishing peace to the hearts of those who loved her. It is harder from this side, life forever a bit emptier.

Tracy Blvd & Clover are right on I-205 and there's a whole bunch of motels there, right across from the trailer park. The spot where the body was dumped (I'm assuming these are the big ponds off Holly) are right off a pair of freeway onramps.

I'd bet dimes to dollars that she was killed by someone staying in one of the motels across the street.

entrance of the mobile home park from where Sandra disappeared.

Residents are not being allowed into their homes and have been told the mobile home park is a crime scene tonight.

I can't imagine what her parents are going through. I just watched the cleaned up video footage of her, skipping down the road, happy to be alive. She reminds me of my little sister when she was 8. I heard about this, and was just sobbing in the car. Some piece of shit just used her, stuffed her like a rag into a suitcase and threw her away. It really affected me deeply, and I figured I must be hormonal, but reading everyone else's posts I realize a lot of you reflect the depths of my sadness. Also, we are liberals and know that our society has destroyed many citizens, but like many of you, I draw the sympathy line at pedophiles.

Throw them all in prison with the general population and let 'em get back what they've done to innocent children. Every night, if the guards turn blind eyes. If that's too harsh, just imagine the fear and pain Sandra felt the last moments of her too-short life!!:cry: :cry: :grr: :grr:
