Four found dead in Alabama home
Source: Cnn

(CNN) -- Four people were found dead Tuesday morning in a home in northwestern Alabama, an investigator said.

Deputies with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department found the bodies in Greenhill, Alabama, about 8:30 a.m., said Kelly Muston, an assistant investigator with the department.

Authorities were looking for Kevin Lee Garner, who is believed to have a connection to the people found in the home, Muston said.

Chief Investigator Travis Clemmons said that the home that Garner lives in was burned and that investigators were searching it Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators believe the fire "had something to do with a divorce hearing," Clemmons said.

him this weekend, then yesterday these murders happened - the 73 yo murdered his 73 yo wife who was leaving him, and the Ft Lewis soldier who was only 21 was murdered by her husband for again, leaving her.

apparently people don't want a divorce, they want full on murder of the spouse leaving them.

We can expect theft to rise too, as more people become desperate, and have nothing except too much time on their hands.

27. Official: Ala. man kills wife, 3 others, self
Source: ap

A man facing a divorce trial shot and killed his estranged wife, their teenage daughter and two other relatives in rural north Alabama before returning to his home in a nearby town and killing himself, authorities said Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Garner's estranged wife, Tammy, 40; their 16-year-old daughter, Chelsie; Garner's sister, Karen Beaty of Illinois; and Beaty's 11-year-old son, whose name was not released.

Investigators said the four were shot, apparently with a handgun, around midnight Monday. They did not know if Kevin Garner was licensed to carry a firearm.

It was one of eight mass shootings around the country — and the third in Alabama — in the last month that have left grief-stricken communities in shock.

There's usually at least one neighbor interviewed who says something to that effect unless the incident happened in a high crime area.

38. I totally agree.
....Not just violent sports, but also peoples addiction to all the mean-spirited reality shows. People tune in so that they can see the contestants being humiliated and beaten down, and ultimately cast their votes for the one that is 'superior' in their eyes. Also, look around at all the cars people drive. Black with black tinted windows. Mean looking things that need to be bigger and higher than the cars around them. I'm not trying to be a smartass either, or paranoid, but what I see is a whole culture of meanness and violence that is spreading like gangbusters.

42. I live in this community
It was the safest place on earth. Low crime rate, violent crimes are extremely rare. My sister sat next to the girl who was murdered by that coward. Personally, I think it is a shame that he killed himself. The preferable solution would have been to gut shoot him and leave him for the animals in the woods over how long it takes to murder this cowardly piece of filth. He is truly a sub human monster that had to be put down like a viscous animal.
