Prosecutors said Allen, Karras, Joshua and Albert Young Jr. -- whose trial is delayed because his lawyer is suffering an eye disease -- intentionally committed fraud by taking 85 checks worth $140,000 from a contract linked to federal welfare-to-work programs between 2000 and 2002. Allen's office signed the contract in November 2000 to give Ivy Tech Community College's Workforce Development Services office information on the township's spending on welfare programs.

1. Most everyone has woken up to that I think. It's more of a matter of what one can do about it

at this point I think.

2. Hey it's the taxpayers' money, so why can't they accept a few checks here and there?

This is going on all over the place. I'd love to see a bunch more of these people getting jail time.
