Union reports deal with Lockheed
Source: UPI

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 19 (UPI) -- Machinists union leaders say they have reached a tentative agreement with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics on a new labor contract.

The union was to vote on the proposal Sunday.

The union's existing three-year contract expires at midnight Sunday. If ratified, the contract will allow Lockheed to continue its operations uninterrupted as it accelerates production of early versions of the F-35 joint strike fighter.
