'BBC World News' to air from Detroit on Wednesday
Mekeisha Madden Toby / Detroit News Television Writer
Britain's "BBC World News America" is coming to Detroit.
The nightly newscast will broadcast a special feature from the city on Wednesday when "BBC's" Matthew Price, who is traveling across the country to gauge the effects of the recession in different cities, makes a stop in our neck of the woods.
Price will examine why Detroit has been hit particularly hard by the economic downturn. The BBC correspondent will look at the effects of years of economic stagnation when he drives around the city with a 72-year-old taxi driver who was born in Detroit and witnessed the city go from boom to bust.
"BBC World News America" airs 7 p.m. weeknights on BBC America.
