SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Anti-abortion activist Randall Terry was arrested today on a trespassing charge at the University of Notre Dame, just hours after the school had issued him a no-trespassing order.

The Operation Rescue founder has been in South Bend protesting Notre Dame’s decision to invite President Barack Obama to speak at the school’s May 17 commencement. Friday’s protesters pushed carriages containing dolls covered in fake blood.

2. Send him to Guantanamo
It's not patriotic to second guess the President of the United States.

And I will not tolerate it.

11. This country graciously gives people like Randall Terry the privilege of free speech
which he then abuses.

17. Terry's about as bad as they come...truly execrable
However, I differ with you on the idea that the country "gives" any of us the right of free speech. We possess that right, and other natural rights, by fact of being human, and not because some leader or ruling body was feeling magnanimous. These are universal rights (or "inalienable"), not subject to political relativity. The Constitution is a document of government restraint, directing that the government may not abridge the natural rights of its citizens.

The right of free speech doesn't mean anything unless it's applied to speech we don't like. That's true of the other natural rights as well.

There's a decent entry on natural rights at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_rights

4. Some say anti-abortion protests have gone too far

SOUTH BEND — Over the last few days, anti-abortion protests have moved off the Notre Dame campus, impacting adults and even children in local communities. Some say it’s gone too far.

"I think it's completely wrong,” said Lynn Nemeth of Mishawaka.

Nemeth says her granddaughter recently witnessed trucks driving around South Bend with bloody anti-abortion images on them.

"She saw one of the pictures. She's 3 ½. I didn't get a chance to protect her. I didn't get a chance for her not to see it," said Nemeth.

The demonstrations against President Obama speaking at Notre Dame's commencement have heated up. Trucks are circling town and planes are flying overhead with very graphic pictures of aborted fetuses.

9. Terry has been joined by another sore loser to Obama
Just before the 11 o'clock hour, some protesters took a break from the cause to have their picture taken with Dr. Alan Keyes.

The conservative politician has been very vocal against Notre Dame's decision allowing President Barack Obama to speak at next month's commencement ceremony.

"They are a Catholic Christian institution sending a message that honors the individual right now who is probably the most extremist, committed pro-abortion individual on the face of the earth," said Keyes.

In an interesting side note, the bishop who starting most of this crap is now urging his flock not to protest:
"And Bishop John D'Arcy, who says he won't attend, has urged Catholics not to protest the decision. He has said opening dialogue is the best option."

16. Now that's really interesting about D'Arcy. Burke distances himself, now D'Arcy says not to protest
the decision.

Hmmmmm.....

since they themselves have stated that "condoms kill children(& also don't protect against ANY disease" & regular bc pills also "kill children". Call them what they are, not what they call themselves.
