Conservative Protesters Prepping For Obama N.H. Town Hall
Source: MSNBC

<snip>

... here's one invitation NBC News has gotten their hands on from a group rallying against the president. This is from the New Hampshire Republican Volunteer Coalition:

NHRVC members and others,

Barack Hussein Obama will be arriving in Portsmouth on Tuesday to hold a STAGED "Town Hall Meeting", where he will essentially hand pick who the guests will be and what types of questions will be asked of him.

A MASSIVE protest rally is being organized just outside of the facility where Obama will be holding his "Town Hall Meeting" to promote his plan for a government takeover of your healthcare decisions.

There will be news media from all over the world at this event and it will be the ideal opportunity for us to tell the rest of the country exactly how NH voters feel about Obamacare (taxed/rationed healthcare). It will be the most important pro-liberty event of the year in NH and it is critically important that every one of us attend.

If you can, bring a sign that says something like, "OBAMACARE=TAXED/RATIONED HEALTHCARE", etc.

Come anytime between 8am-4pm (peak time will be 11am-4pm)

See you there!!

70. Of interest, is how Obama's protectors will behave
Like how are the SS are going to deal with the loud-mouth, obnoxious disrupters.

When the repuke thugs, stand up and start threatening, I wonder what his handlers will do ?

Stay tuned.

2. I'm picturing a huge pro-Obama rally.
Cheering crowds like he had during the campaign. Loudspeakers broadcasting his words to those outside.

And a few hundred pathetic, ignorant, scared white people protesting, under careful scrutiny of the Secret Service.

3.  Their designated Free Speech Zone is ready for them too
2 miles from the main event, where the president won't have to sully his eyes by seeing them:

Oh, and as for how New Hampshire voters feel about Obama, let me give you a refresher from last November:

All Blue bitches.

30. They should be disapointed because
it is a violation of their civil rights. I support civil rights accros the board for a lot of reasons but mainly so that they are still around when I may wish to exercise them - even when I disagree with the positions of those that are exercising those same rights now.

51. I think that some, probably a minority, do think about them
in addition, to say that it is OK to put these protesters in "free speech zones" OK's the practice when/if the RW comes back into power. How will you complain in 2026 when Prez Jindal (who knows?!?) puts DU supporters in a cage and says "thats what Prez Obama did in 2009"?

PS - I know that President Obama is not excluding people who disagree with his agenda - although some posters seem to think he should.

65. The problem is the pubs/conservadems ...whatever...

They do not follow our rules of acting in good faith, fairness, co-operation, honesty ...INTEGRITY.

They do not believe in the Constitution. They believe in undermining democracy.

They believe in their own self interest or GREED and HATE.. to such a degree it blinds them to the long term consequences.

They will try to win at all costs. The ends justify the means. Just look at how they lie about HI reform.

Lets give them a taste of being enclosed in cages LIKE WE WERE.

Their are going to do it to us again *if* they can ..no matter how much we we do no act like them.

I hate them... not as persons but as ideas. I have watched them lie for over 30 years.

from the Boston Globe linked down below

"As usual for such events, the White House controlled the distribution of the free tickets to get into the gym at Portsmouth High School. And, per usual, the Secret Service will take care of any unruliness."

It does not state how the white house controlled the distribution of tickets but if it is "as usual for such events" during the Bush years I would not think that a lot of people that disagree with the President will be getting tickets.

37. Exactly. A recent story here stated that the Prez receives
about 300 threats a month--with not enough agents to handle the leads. These are not people. They are not anywhere near normal. And if you remember after he was sworn in, there was another story released about increased protection for the prez--which is the appropriate thing to do. It truly disgusts me that we live in a society with hate filled morons. Individuals who have a violent belief toward the President. Its depressing to think about it. I'm sure the Secret Service will do their job effectively.

43. Well IF they are disturbing the peace and/or will not leave the
premises after being asked to by the organizers IF they are being disruptive then I agree they should be arrested including being handcuffed. Why should they be tasered after they are in handcuffs (assuming they are not actively still resisting)? Do you really think a video of grandma being tasered while in handcuffs be a good thing for the President's agenda? I think it would be on every news site an used for RW recruitment purposes. Do you remember/read about Chicago 1968?

Was set up by Fred Thompson. It is unclear if Thompson is still active and it is also unclear who is bankrolling this organization currently. Needless to say, this is not a grassroots organization dedicated to recent events or causes. It doesn't appear to be connected with the tea party group though I expect the two have been in contact. Watch for the yellow "don't tread on me" flags favored by the tea party organization.

50. Vitter's "Staged" Town Hall
Is fine, I guess. http://thinkprogress.org/2009/08/09/vitter-mob/

For 8 years Bush would only speak in front of hand-picked crowds. One was at a company building 3 blocks from my office. That company closed its doors 3 months later, laying off hundreds, as they relocated off-shore. That's fine too, apparently. People need to get real about what is important.

64. The louder they protest, the stronger the eventual bill will be
Public opinion will float towards approval of the eventual bill as more and more people recoil from the craziness demonstrated on one side of the debate. Obama's primetime speech from the Oval Office when a final bill is ready will stand in stark contrast to the screeching absurdities emanating from the Republicans. Baucus and the gang of six are playing an irrelevant game for "bipartisanship points" with their constituents and will be ignored when it comes time to reconcile the Senate and House bills. The final bill will essentially be HR 3200 with some haggling over how to tax the rich and the extent of subsidies to middle class families for health insurance.

73. What's the problem?
We protest all the time. If we have nothing to hide, we have nothing to fear.

74. That was Bush - he did that for EIGHT years
no one got into a Bush 'town hall' without an inventation and financial proof that you were a dedicated Bush supporter. Hell he was doing that even BEFORE 9/11, so the bullshit of 'security risk' is just that.

When Bush spoke at Independance Hall on July 4th, 2001, he made it a point to bus in supporters and keep everyone else out. I mean jeez, this is only July 4th - the biggest holiday in the city that invented the holiday. So tourists who travel from across the country and across the globe were not allowed to visit the Liberty Bell thanks to that idiot's speech.

What was worse, they gated the whole park so you could barely see into the speech, but the glimpses we did get was a lily white crowd of supporters, devoid of any minorities.

75. Protests planned for Obama N.H. visit
Source: Boston Globe

President Obama's town hall meeting on healthcare on Tuesday in Portsmouth, N.H., will almost certainly be far less of a free-for-all than the raucous ones that members of Congress have been having, filled with shouting matches, pushing and shoving, and even some arrests.

The White House controlled the distribution of the free tickets to get into the gym at Portsmouth High School. And the Secret Service will take care of any unruliness.

But that won't stop protestors outside the event.

According to an invitation obtained by NBC News, a group called the New Hampshire Republican Volunteer Coalition is urging members to make sure the other side gets heard and noticed by the media.

"Barack Hussein Obama will be arriving in Portsmouth on Tuesday to hold a STAGED "Town Hall Meeting", where he will essentially hand pick who the guests will be and what types of questions will be asked of him," the call to arms reads. "A MASSIVE protest rally is being organized just outside of the facility where Obama will be holding his 'Town Hall Meeting' to promote his plan for a government takeover of your healthcare decisions."

the invitation continues. "If you can, bring a sign that says something like, 'OBAMACARE=TAXED/RATIONED HEALTHCARE', etc."

76. They've screwed themselves by including "Hussein"...
A direct appeal to the racist birther hordes to demonstrate their crazy live national television.

This "protest" (i.e. racist tirade) will go poorly for them.

80. Yes, that's one of the tells alright. "Hussein" is their code.
The signs are, indeed, the giveaway. These are the 17-percenters, the bush cultists who do what Rush tells them to do.

77. But George Bush's staged meetings were no problem...
Hand picked audiences, remember his privatize social security tour? These losers should be kept as far away as the anti-Bush groups were. So far that they can't be seen or heard by the people at the meeting.
