(03-08) 09:28 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --

Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, suffering from an intestinal ailment, took a few days off from his campaign to undergo tests at an Ohio hospital, spokesman Doug Gordon said Monday.

A media advisory from the campaign said the Ohio congressman was trying to rest and recover from an intestinal ailment. The illness was "not serious," Gordon said. He declined to identify the hospital where Kucinich was seeking treatment or whether it was in Cleveland, the candidate's home town.

The long-shot candidate will participate by telephone in several campaign events scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Florida. He is expected to resume a full campaign schedule later this week.

9. Get well, Dennis
Even if he's not the Democratic nominee, Dennis has been a consistent voice for the Democratic party and the American people. We need his energy, and his passion, in order to get the Bush gang out in November.

11. bummer
I've wondered how he keeps it up day after day with no down time. Too bad he is not in Florida today and tomorrow as planned. Here's hoping he gets well soon and will be well enough to go to Alaska on Thursday.
