Gennifer Flowers says she'll appeal dismissal of defamation suit

"I may just run a little picket line outside the courthouse, because I'm not going to be treated that way," Flowers told The Times-Picayune of New Orleans in Saturday's editions.

U.S. District Judge Philip M. Pro ruled March 8 that no reasonable jury could find "clear and convincing evidence" that James Carville and George Stephanopoulos acted with malice when they suggested that the audiotapes she used to try to prove she and Clinton had an affair had been doctored.

The two former Clinton aides made their comments during interviews on talk shows in 1998 and 2000.

The Flowers lawsuit sought unspecified punitive and compensatory damages. It was filed for her in 1999 by Judicial Watch, a conservative Washington public-interest group.

A lawyer for Carville has said the case was frivolous and politically motivated.

BTW, this case has been in the courts for years. Originally, she sued Hillary as well (talk about gall - suing the wife of the guy you slept with?) but a judge dropped her from the suit.

you are no longer a private person. Therefore, you have to prove actual malice when you charge someone with defamation/slander/libel. If she'd stayed out of the spotlight, she wouldn't have had to prove actual malice. She didn't. She was rather rapacious in her quest for attention when she was claiming to be Clinton's paramour.

Well, this is the cost. Tough lesson to learn the hard way for a has been that never really was.

it is no longer "frivilous and politically motivated" as Carville's lawyer says... actually, to the aging hussy it's "life-or-death and the last bit of fame she'll ever have." you can bet she'll hang on to the shards of this thing for as long as the law allows. but who cares? she's more of a detriment to the 'thugs than an asset... she's a constant reminder of the diirtiest, scummiest part of the "vast right-wing conspiracy."
