Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) underwent surgery on Thursday to remove a small mass from his stomach, his office announced.

Durbin, the second-ranking Senate Democrat, underwent surgery in Chicago to remove a small gastro-intestinal stromal tumor (GIST) discovered during a routine check-up.

The Illinois Democrat's doctors found no evidence of cancer, Durbin's office said, and the tumor was able to be removed in its entirety using laparoscopic procedures.

7. I wonder..
Do you think it's possible that they might pay my $20,000.00 bill for
an emergency medical flight in june when my post cancer gastric
bleeding started gushing again ( because the insurance company is refusing to pay
because THEY don't think it was necessary ?)

I guess i need to get elected first before i can get my hands on
universal, single payer health care.
