Teamsters say Coca-Cola Enterprises workers will vote Oct. 7 on union representation
Source: ajc

The Teamsters union said workers at Coca-Cola Enterprises facilities in College Park and Marietta will vote Oct. 7 on whether to be represented by the union.
We're very close to having unionized Coca-Cola employees in Atlanta, Coca-Cola's hometown," Dave Laughton, director of the union's brewery and soft drink division, told a crowd of about 500 Sunday afternoon at a rally south of Atlanta. "If it's good for the rest of the country, it should be good for Atlanta."

1. I had no idea Coca- Cola was not unionized. This would be a
good thing for the entire U.S. Come on, People, VOTE YES. You'll never regret it.

4. Coca-Cola workers are unionized in other parts of the country. But not in Coke's hometown.

3. I hope the vote will be for UNION!
I fully support workers in this country.

It's too bad that companies/management, went SO far out
of their way to make the working conditions miserable, that
it results in a union (and I'll say that I support almost all unions).

I just want to work...and be paid fairly...and not jerked
around at every turn. Is that so hard for a company to provide?
(...don't answer that...)

That they can't do here, what they (allegedly) did in Colombia.

10. Agreed
This is one of my biggest disappointments with this Congress and administration. EFCA would go a long way towards fixing things for the middle class, but it's a non starter with my Senators (Bond - I understand he's a Republican , but McCaskill blowing my off in a response was pretty hard to take).

11. Coca-Cola needs to realize their workers are people, not property.
