Senate candidate Ron Johnson says global warming 'unproven'

MILWAUKEE — U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson said Thursday that global warming was an "unproven" science that shouldn't be used to dictate U.S. policies.

The Republican business owner said domestic efforts to reduce global warming would hurt American businesses and send jobs to countries that have fewer restrictions. Johnson said it would be irresponsible to build U.S. policy on the basis of unsubstantiated theories.

"The point is, because we're not certain, because it's not proven, the last thing we should do is penalize our economy," he told The Associated Press during an interview.

"I'm not even sure if, if it were a fact, whether we could do anything about it anyway," he added later.

This will not bode well for Johnson. He's running against Russ Feingold, please spread this far and wide.

10. China is absolutely mopping the floor with us in terms of clean energy companies
right now.

The Chinese government is also giving them massive lines of credit to assist.

9. Let's say he were arrested for some serious crime
Would he decide not to hire a lawyer because there is no proof that having a lawyer would enable him to win his case and no proof that not having a lawyer would prevent him from winning.
Did he allow his toddlers to play in the street because there was no proof that they'd get hit by a car and get killed?
If he were having chest pains would he refuse to go to the ER because there was no proof that it was a heart attack?
I can't stand anti environmentalists like him who seem oblivious to what is at stake.
I sincerely hope he doesn't win even more than I hope than a lot of other Republicans don't win.
