Deerfield Democrats ban state legislator for endorsing Charlie Crist
Source: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

The Deerfield Beach Democratic Club has banned lifelong Democrat Maria Sachs, a member of the state Legislature, from any of its future events because she endorsed Gov. Charlie Crist’s no party affiliation ban for governor.

She currently a state representative and is about to become the new state senator for northern Broward and southwestern Palm Beach County. She won the Senate seat, formerly held by Congressman Ted Deutch, when no one else ran for the job.

And she’s supporting Crist instead of the Democratic Senate nominee, Congressman Kendrick Meek, prompting a strong reaction from the Deerfield club.

Bernie Parness, president of the club, wrote “with a heavy heart” to Sachs telling her she’s now unwelcome. The letter was signed by the club’s officers and board members.

There's some bad blood in the Republican party.

9. +100
As Aesop once said, "Never trade a sure thing for a possibility."

I can collect $10,000,000 now, or throw it away for a 1-in-100 shot at being the world's first trillionaire. I can do a hell of a lot with $10 million.

16. Hell, Crist can't even be believed from what he does.
He's one of few exceptions to, "Who ya gonna believe, your own lying eyes or...."

When looking at Crist, you have to at least question your own eyes.

10. That's The Problem
If some one really thinks Crist would be a better Senator and better represents their values than Meek, by all means, they should vote for Crist.

But the problem is, so many Democrats have figured Meek couldn't win and they are supporting Crist because they think he has a better chance of stopping Rubio. Thus, Meek losing becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

14. Seems as though the DNC has quietly preferred Crist all along. Maybe bc
they thought Meek could not win.

And early on, a number of Duers posted pro-Crist's election victory (amd therefore defeat of the Democratic candidate)
in blatant violation of DU rules.

Coincidentally, DU made supporting Crist's election election victory a one-time exception to it's rules.

Things sometimes seem to converge harmoniously by sheer serendipity.
