Hickenlooper says state prison should house terrorism suspects

DENVER - Colorado should be willing to accept terrorism suspects into its "Supermax" prison, Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Hickenlooper said Friday.
Earlier this year, when the Obama administration was looking for a prison to house terrorist suspects currently held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Gov. Bill Ritter was open to the idea of moving some of them to the United States Penitentiary Administrative Maximum Facility, or Supermax, outside Cañon City.

Republicans in the Legislature decried the idea.
