Outside political money floods into Colorado races
Source: Denver Post

Outside political money being spent in Colorado more than doubled last week to over $23 million, dropping even the most cynical jaws and boosting calls for campaign-finance reform just after the election.

Colorado and Pennsylvania are the top two states in the number of outside dollars pouring in, thanks mostly to shadowy groups with no affiliation with the U.S. Senate and House races, according to the Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan group that monitors campaign spending.

With three Democratic House seats in play here and a tightening U.S. Senate race — a Saturday poll put that race too close to call — national Democratic financiers are scrambling to match heavy Republican spending in the state.

1. The air play is heavier than I have ever seen
and the tracking polls seem to indicate it working even with conservative papers endorsing the democratic candidates.
More money and attacks coming over the next week.

3. Same. Co. Springs here, and Bennet was actually playing a pro-choice ad.
It shocked me because it got air play time in Co. Springs (I know that the stations reach Puebleo where they were likely targeting, but still).

Ken Buck now owns the airwaves, I've never seen anything like it. I actually saw KRDO spend the whole news segment with Ken Buck commercials during one of their shorter breaks.

Not kidding. The entire break was composed of Ken Buck ads. I couldn't believe it.

2. It is estimated that if PA is won by the Dems that
Repugs will have less than a 5% chance to take the Senate!

4. I don't answer the phone
I don't watch Teevee, but the trash in the mail box, full color ads attacking Democrats. Has to cost a pretty cent.
