Colombia, Peru and Brazil take it easy with Venezuela's nuclear plans

Commanders of the armed forces of Colombia, Peru and Brazil are not concerned at all about a nuclear power program advanced by Venezuela with the Russian help, as they said after a three-party meeting held on their common border in Amazonia.

"The only thing we are worried about is ensuring security to Colombia's people," Admiral Edgar Celi, the commander of Colombian armed forces, answer when queried into the subject, AFP quoted.

"We are not worried," said General Francisco Contreras, Joint Chief of Staff of the Peruvian armed forces.

"Brazil is not worried," commented General Jose Carlos de Nardi, the commander of the Brazilian armed forces.
