Frustration with GOP leader despite expected gains
Source: AP

By PHILIP ELLIOTT

WASHINGTON (AP) - In the most favorable political environment for Republicans in decades, GOP chairman Michael Steele ordinarily might be lavished with praise for leading his party to the brink of a historic triumph.

Instead, he heads an organization that trails Democrats by $15 million in fundraising, is in debt and largely has been overshadowed by third-party groups that, in a few months, have raised almost as much as Republican National Committee has since January 2009.

Frustration with the chairman is evident in some states.

In Ohio, where the governor's race is in doubt and Republicans are challenging some Democratic House members, party chairman Kevin DeWine recently wrote Steele that the $566,900 the RNC had transferred to date "simply pales in comparison" with 2004, 2006 and 2008.

of shit. The GOP Tea Bats have more than enough money hidden in secret accounts. They will blame Steele so they can get rid of him. The only reason they selected him for leader was b/c of Pres. O for counter purposes. All of them are full of it and bat shit crazy to boot.

Plus I do not respect AP, they are GOP. F them.

3. It's really hilarious
This guy is so fucking stupid that he believes he's the leader of the GOP. I wonder if he's every seen a teabagger rally, then looked int the mirror and noticed any difference.

7. The first sentence is a classic example of the press believing its own bullshit.

8. "the most favorable political environment for Republicans in decades"

You know you're reading propaganda when the article begins with a fairy tale that the media itself concocted.

10. That means the Bush years were unfavorable for Republicans, I guess.
So after this election they can REALLY strut their stuff.
And make sure the United States becomes a lost memory in world history.

9. I remember reading somewhere that if the Republicans take the House, Boehner wouldn't be speaker
I guess they really don't care for their leaders.
