Poll shows Dem's lead widening in Del. Senate race

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Despite a spate of television ads aimed at reintroducing her to voters, Republican Senate hopeful Christine O'Donnell of Delaware has failed to chip away at Democratic nominee Chris Coons' strong lead, according to a new poll. She even may be going backward.

The survey released Thursday from Fairleigh Dickinson University-PublicMind shows Coons holding a commanding 21-point lead, with 57 percent of likely voters saying they will vote for him compared to just 36 percent for O'Donnell. O'Donnell trailed by 17 points in a similar Fairleigh Dickinson poll released earlier this month.

"It would be an historic comeback for her to win on Tuesday," said Dan Cassino, a Fairleigh Dickinson political scientist.

Cassino said O'Donnell, a tea party favorite who spent years as a conservative evangelical commentator on cable television, would probably win in other states that have more social conservatives and a larger tea party presence.

I wanna see data showing Angle, Forina, Paul, and Miller slipping further down the polls. They might be stupid and evil as well, but none of them can hold a candle to O'Donnell. No offense to Coons and his campaign, I'm hopeful that he'll be a great Senator for Delaware and America, but a victory over Christine O'Donnell in anything except a crazy contest is not exactly a spectacular accomplishment.

4. KnR. I'm sure threatening to sue the station
after proving she couldn't answer a question during the radio interview didn't help.

6. The sad thing is that this nut probably could actually win
if this was Oklahoma or Alabama. I wonder if the republican party can sink any lower, or if they've finally hit rock bottom when it comes to the lunacy of their candidates?

8. I live in Ar and (very) unfortunately, you can take this from a guy on............
...........the ground and even went to (not for very long) "tea party's" here in my town. You know, I actually think it would be even WORSE if all the people that are racist, uneducated and just plain bread and fucking butter stupid would show up and vote because a lot of them DON'T vote. What a fucking country, huh?

10. Try bat-crap crazy Arizona -- the New Mississippi...
it's REALLY crazy down here!

Hell, the democrats in this state would have been "moderate" republicans just a few years ago...

In fact, Giffords (ex-R now execrable, pro-war blue dog) was a registered republican until she wanted her "pro-choice" butt in a seat in Congress and switched to Dem. She couldn't win in the repub primary...
