Iraq war logs: 'The US was part of the Wolf Brigade operation against us'

Source: Guardian UK

Omar Salem Shehab tells of torture at hands of notorious Iraqi police unit and says US forces were involved in his capture

During the foreboding months of 2005, one police unit struck more fear into Iraqis than the entire occupying US army. They were known as the Wolf Brigade.

Brutal even by Iraqi standards, their soldiers and officers seemingly answered to no one. They were seen as indiscriminate and predatory. The unit's reputation had been known Iraq-wide and results of their numerous raids are still bogged down in Iraq's legal system.

And here they are: The U.S. has used torture, economic manipulation of vulnerable populations, starvation and dictators to accomplish the aim of being able to consume the entire planet. That's what empire is, and that's what it does. It's just that the U.S. has been better at it than all the empires that came before. Moreover, the U.S. has used public information (n.: propaganda) to keep most of its population in the dark about what it's doing.

Not only is the U.S. one of the largest polluters, its military is the largest single polluter on the planet. All of those toys come at a cost; to the ecosystem, to humans, and most of all, in starvation for many and wealth for a very, very, few.

And yeah, I'm going to get hammered for saying so, because there is no-one who wants to look the empire in the face. France is facing nation-wide strikes for changing the pension plan, already more generous than that in the U.S.. The U.S. population is too brainwashed and ignorant to fight back. And you're ready to elect the most insane members of congress I've ever in my life heard or seen; extremists with a cruel economic and social agenda. If they aren't elected by public acclaim, they will have the help of the military/industrial complex.

Where the hell is the outrage????

Total agreement.

There's plenty of outrage. It's just that here in the U.S., we've gotten out of the habit of manning the barricades-- a habit that needs to be cultivated once again.

3. I feel that there are words and our so called government should
be in turmoil that they and the people were lied into war and the lying criminals are free as the scapegoats were victimized by a sham prosecution performed by the US Military.

The US Democracy is looking to be a failure as we see the sham lie exposed and we are not a government of - by - and for the people.

I have called both of my senators and my Rep but they are Republican and I feel that since they got away with the sham over thpeople then they could care less.

And Obama of course would rather look forward in the matter - If I am not mistaken.

The people of the US should be in the streets raising Hell!
