Sharron Angle camp bans TV stations from election party
Source: Las Vegas Sun

Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle sidestepped questions Friday from TV reporters who tracked her to the airport, the latest evidence of a strategy to mostly stay away from the media in her dead-heat race with Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Reporters from the CBS and NBC affiliates surprised the tea party favorite at McCarran International Airport, where they asked her questions about national security and unemployment.

Angle responded, "I will answer those questions when I am the senator."

-----

Upset at the interview tactics, Angle's campaign later told the two news stations they are no longer invited to the candidate's election night party next week.

2. Seems to be standard republican tactics
Don't ask me any questions I do not want to answer.
I don't have to answer any of your questions, just vote for me because I am better.

Gee, I wonder how many questions she will answer if she is elected??

6. Once again, the fact that Angle and other candidates like her
are even remotely close, much less in a position to possibly get elected, to me says far more about the millions of ignorant, hate-filled and brainwashed citizens of this country than it does about the candidates themselves. (Not a broadbrush of everyone, in Nevada or elsewhere, but of the many millions for whom this description does , to our great danger, apply to)

7. If Sharron Angle wins.......
It will only be because She's not Harry Reid.
I have to give it o'l Harry for staying close because
Sue Lowden would have been ahead by 25 points or more.

17. Angle makes Lowden look amazingly competent
Lowden would have cleaned Harry's clock bank on it. I am not sure if he can eek it out against even this nutjob and while Lowdens chicken comment was bad it doesn't hold a candle to some of the crap angle says.

I mean telling Hispanic students they looked Asian?

19. Don't punish Las Vegas!
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 05:29 AM by BlueMTexpat
That's where most of the Reid voters are! If you must punish, boycott Reno instead - that's "Angle" territory.

I have a very young granddaughter living in LV. One good thing that Angle has done is to provide an opportunity for my son (my GD's father) to earn good money as a free-lance cameraman covering her campaign. I realize that this is a completely selfish perspective, but hey - in this economic climate, anything that helps to keep my family members from being destitute is good.

Yes, as a politican she is crazy and anyone who votes for her is equally so. As an individual, she is not altogether a bad woman (at least as reported to me unofficially). It's partly because she manages to connect with people individually - which we don't see, but mostly because she is not Harry, that the polls are close.

But my son is not crazy enough to vote for her. And neither would I be. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Harry, who is, if nothing else, a very canny politician who knows his state well.

11. Tea?
The tea is getting pretty undrinkable. I'm beginning to think some of them may be colostomy baggers.

"Interview tactics"? They're reporters - that's what they do. Why is she "surprised" if reporters appear appear when a senatorial candidate shows up at an international airport?

If those idiots win, I will never have any respect for American voters! Do they "always" vote against their own interests?

Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 06:17 AM by AsahinaKimi
She will use the same tactics.. to the press. She might even hire thugs to go around with her...to beat the crap out of anyone who approaches her. Her ideas and thinking are dangerous, she wants 2nd amendment solutions...She will be worse then Michelle Bachmann.
