Governor (R-GA) Presses For Party Switchers
Republicans rolled out the heavy artillery this week in their quest to gain full control of the Georgia General Assembly.

Republican Governor Sonny Perdue spent part of Wednesday, the last and busiest day of the legislative session, calling some House Democrats into his office and urging them to switch to the GOP, according to several lawmakers who met with the Governor.

He was polite, but legislators said Perdue was clear about the consequences of not accepting his offer. If they refused, Perdue told them he would campaign on behalf of a Republican opponent in the fall elections. Perdue gave them until Monday to make up their minds.

4. The All Do Anymore
Perdue says "switch or else" and my Rethuglican Governor in Kentucky refuses to answer any questions from the state's largest newspaper unless all questions are submitted in writing well before any news conference or event.

Are "they" working for the people or the PNAC?

5. They won't last much longer...
... trust me. Strong-arm stuff doesn't work very well for very long--even in Kentucky.

Cheers.

6. He thinks he'll Hall-it?
Doesn't this remind you somehow of Rep. Ralph Hall (D R-Texas) and the pressure Delay and Bush put him under to convert to the R-party by denying his district funds?

7. Switching parties is unethical and should be illegal
Unless you are switching to the Republican party.

Anyone remember what the right wingers said about Jeffords? They wanted him in jail and just about called him a terrorist.

9. Liars
Isn't this the same governor whose campaign was based on restoring the Confederate flag? And, then after getting elected, he refused to even hold a referendum on it? He's an equal opportunity pisser-offer...

People like that are why some of us spit on the ground after we say the word "politician"

12. This is why they have nothing to worry about and it is an empty threat.
Perdue is hated by the white red necks which is where most of these people are in these districts. They should keep Perdue at arms length. All they have to do is mention that Perdue is backing their opponent.

DO NOT BUY PERDUE CHICKENS.

13. Wrongo - Different Perdue family
The Chicken empire is completely unrelated to Sonny Perdue. Perdue is from Georgia. The Chicken Perdues are located in Salisbury Maryland on the Eastern Shore. Boycotting Perdue Chicken would not affect Sonny Perdue in any way shape or form.
