Source: Columbus Dispatch

By Spencer Hunt

The state office that is supposed to protect Ohio's nature preserves will disappear July 1 if lawmakers approve the last of a series of spending cuts initiated two years ago.

The Division of Natural Areas and Preserves had as many as 30 full-time employees in 2008. The division, housed at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, oversees 28,000 acres in 135 preserves that are refuges for plants and wildlife.

1. Walker is doing the same in WI-yet he touts tourism as one of 3
major industries in WI.

Walkers use of tourism is restricted to the business side--not the conservation side that WI has pushed hard for and made good progress these last few decades (yes, even Tommy Thompson recognized the value of wetland preservation, etc). This new brand of Repugs are revolting.

Soon to be "The Estates at Wooded Groves" 2.5 acre lots starting @ $75,000.
for the discriminating home buyer. Only minutes away from Columbus on
the newly redone U.S. 33.

Two exclusive 5 acre lots with spectacular views of Cedar Falls will be
up for sale in the winter of 2012 contact Mr. Robert @ Kasich-Hocking
Realty Company for a private viewing of the land.

I think John knows he will be a one term governor (not unless we get another
2004 type of voting miracle) and so he and his buddies are going to loot every last
nickel they can under the guise of smart government and budget controls.

3. If you get rid of the gatekeeper, it is easier to steal the booty.

Makes it easier for Kasich to sell off the land to his masters
