U.S.3-day Death Toll Climbs to 16 in Iraq
Sunday, April 11, 2004 Posted: 5:29 PM EDT (2129 GMT)

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The deaths of two U.S. Army pilots Sunday and the announcement of eight additional American military deaths in Iraq pushed the total number of troops killed there since Friday to 16, according to U.S. Central Command.

The most recent deaths were two crew members in an Apache attack helicopter which was shot down by surface-to-air missile fire Sunday west of Baghdad International Airport, coalition officials said. . . .

"I know what we're doing in Iraq is right," Bush said.

"It was a tough week last week, and my prayers and thoughts are with those who pay the ultimate price for our security," the president said."

and from Bremer:
"We're in a testing time right now . . .We always knew there were going to be some severe tests as we moved forward, particularly as we get closer to the Iraqi assumption of sovereignty and the beginning of a democratic process."

2. bush* is maintaining a KILLING rate, close to the Vietnam KILLING rate
Edited on Sun Apr-11-04 06:49 PM by amen1234

if bush* maintains such a high rate of KILLING our soldiers, continuously, he may well be able to meet those high expectations of about 58,000 American Soldiers KILLED...

Korea ended up with about 54,000 American Soldiers KILLED...

bush* knows that few are willing to STAND UP and stop him...and once bush* got this KILLING started, he knew that only a few brave ones STAND UP, and he smashes them down with police, clubs, interrogations...so the killing continues...like Vietnam and Korea, IMO, the end toll for Iraq will be very high....

these war-profiteers are thrilled...heard wolfowitz say it'll be at least a 20 year war...and of course, we can't leave...that's the new mantra...we can't leave...like Vietnam, we CAN leave anytime the pResident decides to pick up a telephone and tell OUR troops to come home....

4. A twenty-year war?
I shudder to think who would enlist for this meat grinder after even ten years.

6. Bush's re-election could mean a Draft for a very long time
If the sheeple buy into this War and Bush gets another pass for four years, I suspect will see a draft for the next ten or more years.

I have two sons 10 and 13 and over the next decade would be eligible. No way are they fighting any false war that started under this asshole.

Our best hope is to defeat Bush now.
