NATO Advocates Political Solution for Libya Crisis
Source: La Prenza Latina

Brussels, Apr 8 (Prensa Latina) The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) advocated an urgent political solution to the conflict in Libya and denied that the current military offensive is deadlocked.

"There is no exclusively military solution," NATO spokesman Oana Lungescu said in a Friday press conference. "It is urgent to find a political solution."

Lungescu dismissed the idea that the invasion of Libya launched March 19 under a UN Security Council resolution had bogged down.

The NATO spokesman refuted statements by the military commander of the international coalition, Gen. Carter Ham, who said Thursday that the conflict was heading toward a dead end, favorable for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

4. Or, NATO could cease all intervention.
The rebels say they feel targeted by NATO. No one is satisfied, so then NATO can cease operations there.

5. If Gadaffi had obeyed the ceasefire order
none of this would've happened. If he wasn't attacking places like Misrta and on the verge doing this same to Bengazi there wouldn't be any missiles

3. They're doing this because the US will not fund the war. How much
money was wasted? Gross stupidity on NATO. They now need to disband.

6. So next we'll hear "Leaving Gaddafi in power will save civilian lives"
Who knew if NATO had to get their hands bloody they'd back off - raise your hands.

And has anyone heard from the Arab League lately?

7. Maybe that should have been tried first
and bombing second instead of vice-versa.

Certainly would have been cheaper.
