Rick Santorum expected to Jump in tonight on Greta van Susterenenenenen
Edited on Wed Apr-13-11 05:49 AM by Sky Masterson
Source: www.unionleader.com

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is expected to make news when he appears on Fox’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” tonight, a source confirmed to Morning Score. It’s a good time for Santorum to lean into the 2012 race, coming off a big straw poll win in South Carolina’s Greenville County. The Union Leader: “Santorum will discuss the next step he will be taking regarding a potential presidential candidacy on Wednesday night … It's anticipated that Santorum … will move closer to a candidacy, perhaps with the formation of an exploratory committee.”

1. Ricky wants to see his family crying on TV again.
I wish I had that kind of money to throw away.

20. That picture alone is enough to cost a candidate millions of votes
I mean...does any person want to be identified, in any way, with that picture? Those kids (and their mama) look like refugees from a polygamous cult. I guess only Ricky doesn't have to sew his own clothes.

2. What in the world would make this whiny extremist SOB think he has a chance?
What gets into the heads of these goofball republicans anyway? I mean, President Santorum? President Bachmann? Please.

Most (or all) of the 2012 republican candidates are out-of-touch weirdos and misfits. Why do they all think they will win?

28. Because of all the whiny extremist SOB-lovers and goofball republi-CONS and weirdos and misfits
who surround him.

That's all he sees. He clearly doesn't see OR consider any other views than his and his little Neanderthal cabal.

3. Santorum has real potential for stealing the GOP nomination
it will be the year of the nut for the GOP and he has suitable credentials.

8. Makes me glad my state has an open primary.
Rush Limbaugh wanted "Operation Chaos". I'll give him Operation Chaos. It's going to be a tough decision as to which unelectable nut job will get my vote. Man-On-Dog just made it a little more difficult.

19. That is a Dangerous Game to Play. What if the Unelectable Nutjob WINS?
Whoever gets the Republican nomination will have the Koch brothers' billions behind them,
plus more billions from the insurance industry, Walmart, and all the usual suspects.
Citizens United changed everything. We will be outspent at least ten to one.

The Republican candidate, whoever it is, will also have the support of every Tee Vee network in the country.

Then there are the Diebold Republican Electing Machinez!

Most people thought Bush** was unelectable too. (He was, but he got close enough to steal it).
There is no such thing as an unelectable Republican.

If you are going to vote in the Republican primary, I would suggest voting for Romney.
He is significantly less insane than the others. The Repig nutbar base doesn't like him,
so if he were the Repub candidate that would neutralize them somewhat. For that reason,
he might actually be easier to beat than Fuckabee or Palin.

23. that would be a blessing.
The crazy within him is irrepressible. He cannot help himself, and he cannot maintain it deep inside.

Now, W, despite his best efforts, may have actually tried sobriety for a time, and it probably helped him. But the stress of office, (face it, that is a horrible office to ever attain) and the diplomatic requirements all caused him to return to the fruit of the grain. Twice distilled. Even W managed to out is "crazy" on command, before a secure, select, and biblically drivelled ooops DRIVEN audience. For the rest of us, he maintained an "Ah Shucks" attitude that comforted those unconcerned with politics. W was no where as crazy as Sanitorium and could control his worst impulses in public.

I met W once, and I have to admit, I hated his presidency, and abhored his vice of president, but you cannot help liking the guy in person. He destroyed our economy, he rewarded the haves and have mores, he screwed up the muddle east, he smirked while Wall ripped us off blind, but, heck, he is a likable guy.

Gawd. I look at what I typed, and my head reels. But it is true.

Seriously, Sanitorium as the GOoPer nominee would be the best thing that ever happened to the country.

26. Agree 100% - admit to being one who thought that we missed a bullet when Bush beat McCain
Edited on Wed Apr-13-11 07:11 PM by karynnj
After all who would vote for a mean drunk until he was 40 - and there were many media stories from his dad's term that showed him as pretty unlikable. Yet, the media said he was nice and would be fun to have a beer with - downplayed any evidence of temper or nastiness - and he won two elections against two of the genuinely most decent men in politics - even if he did so only by cheating. If you looked at either of their lives, it is clear that having a beer - and they can actually drink without problems - with either would be an enjoyable time. (With Kerry, a group of DU JK people, not me, did just this. I always feared meeting famous people I admired in person, because the bar is so high to meet my expectations. For all of them and all the rest of us who later met him and his wonderful wife, he exceeded any expectations. He is funny, charming, nice, while having incredible gravitas - in addition to be exactly the person he said he was.
