Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall stabbed; wife arrested

Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall was admitted to the intensive care unit of Broward General after being stabbed Friday night at his Southwest Ranches home.

Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the stabbing, according to the arrest report. She is being held on a $7,500 bond.

When contacted by phone early Saturday afternoon, a man identifying himself as Brandon Marshall hung up when asked how he was feeling.

2. You have no idea. This guy got Darrent Williams killed in Denver.

Williams was the defensive heir apparent to legendary Broncos icon Steve Atwater.
Williams proudly wore Atwaters number 27.

Williams was shot and killed in a limo on New Years Eve several years ago, after a bitter loss that knocked them out of the playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers at home in Denver.
It was reveled that Marshall was actually the target, as he had provoked gang members that happened to be in the club where Williams and other Broncos had gathered for a end of season/New Years celebration.

Williams died in Broncos wide receiver Javon Walker's arms, after their limo was sprayed with gunfire.
The gunmen were under the impression that Marshall, and not Williams, was riding in that limo.

Immensely talented.

According to court testimony in the murder trial in which Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was the victim and Willie E. Clark was the defendent, Marshall and his cousin were involved in an altercation outside a downtown Denver nightclub with Wllie E. Clark and Daniel “Ponytail” Harris. Prosecutors believe an enraged Clark followed a limousine that he thought Marshall and his cousin were in.
Clark was found guilty of firing at least 15 shots into the crowded limousine that killed Williams.
Marshall and his cousin were in another vehicle. Clark is serving a life sentence.

Marshall testifies for the prosecution in the murder trial of Willie Clark, the man accused of killing former Bronco Darrent Williams on
Jan. 1, 2007. Marshall was partying with Williams the night of the murder.
In his testimony, Marshall said he escalated a dispute outside a downtown nightclub with Clark and Clark’s friends.
“I think about it every night,” Marshall said.

The NFL star receiver and his wife said little about what prompted Nogami-Mar shall to lance him with the knife in their six- bedroom mansion in the town of Southwest Ranches, said Broward County police.

Marshall, whom the Dolphins signed to a five-year, $47 million contract, claimed a shard of glass from a shattering vase slit his stomach. But cops didn't believe it.

"The area where the vase was broken indicated no blood within the immediate area to substantiate his claim," said a police report.

Nogami-Marshall quickly copped to stabbing her husband -- but insisted she was playing defense, the police report said.
