Iowa lawmaker (R) arrested
Source: Omaha World Herald

By Chad Nation

COUNCIL BLUFFS — A member of the Iowa House from Pottawattamie County was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Pottawattamie County Sheriff Jeff Danker said Rep. Greg Forristall, a Republican, was arrested near Carson, Iowa. His blood-alcohol content was .276, more than three times the .08 legal limit, the sheriff said.

Danker said Forristall, 61, told deputies he was on his way home to rural Macedonia from Des Moines.

Danker said a deputy reported seeing Forristall's westbound truck cross the centerline on Iowa Highway 92. The deputy, who was eastbound at the time, turned around and followed the truck. The deputy reported the truck again drifted into the eastbound lane, so he pulled the vehicle over.

I've lost family and friends to DUIs. Since this is a law maker, I posted in LBN.

2. Oh why oh why
couldn't it be Peter King?

Well, whoever he is I hope they throw the book at him. That kind of irresponsibility kills people.

Pewter is the one from NY, Steve is the one from Iowa. Both are nasty dimwits IMHO.

4. More Republican values on display
They have the nerve to preach to the rest of us while destroying the nation and acting as though the law was written for everyone but themselves.

10. The importance of his arrest for Iowa....
is the fact that he has been one of the main voices FOR the union busting bills that have filtered their way throughout the midwest and found their way to Iowa state legislature. With his arrest perhaps it will take away another voice from the right that would otherwise see unions go the way of the dodo.

Here you can see him trying to explain his point of view for anti-unions.

13. Over 3 times the legal limit

It is not in the article itself. It is in the balloon for the photo: Rep. Greg Forristall, R-98th District, was arrested Wednesday near Carson. His blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.
