Phone hacking: NoW's Greg Miskiw released on bail
Source: Guardian (UK)

Greg Miskiw, the former News of the World newsdesk executive arrested on Wednesday, has been released on bail.

Miskiw, 61, was arrested by appointment at a central London police station as part of the Scotland Yard investigation into phone hacking at the News International tabloid.

.....

"He was arrested on suspicion of unlawful interception of communications, contrary to Section 1(1) Criminal Law Act 1977 and on suspicion of conspiring to intercept communications, contrary to Section 1(1) Criminal Law Act 1977.

"He has subsequently been released on bail to a date in October pending further inquiries."

Miskiw is probably back home in Delray Beach, Florida by now.

1. Have we started the investigations on this side of the pond?
Murdoch would surely not let a successful strategy for political manipulation go to waste, using it in just one of his dominions.

2. All have been bailed to reappear in October.
Eleven in total now I think.

Maybe charges , where appropriate , will all be brought at the same time.

5. Miskiw is the 12th arrest, according to this article.
He's probably lounging on the waves, back in Delray Beach, FL, by now.

Wonder how his new Florida business is going.... the one he recently incorporated in June, 2011. He's calling it "News Team LLC".

He'd best not be bringing his criminal hacking practices over here.

6. There's a mystery about that figure
When #11 was bailed there might have been a mistake : its thought one of the previous 10 had had any prospect of charges being brought dropped and the bail requirement dropped too as a result. So #11 became #10.
