Russian stealth fighter aborts takeoff at air show

ZHUKOVSKY, Russia (AP) — Russia's first stealth fighter jet had to abort a takeoff at Moscow's International Aviation and Space Show on Sunday because of what officials said was a malfunction in the right engine.

The T-50 did not leave the runway and was slowed by a brake parachute.

The twin-engined jet was traveling at 60 miles per hour (100 kph) when the pilot decided to abort takeoff because of a right engine malfunction, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing a representative of United Aircraft Building Corp., a state-controlled holding that incorporates top Russian aircraft-makers,

1. Oopsy...

Back to the drawing board. History has shown that overall Russian jet engines have not been as reliable, nor as good, as western engines from GE, Rolls-Royce/TurboUnion, SNECMA(French)among others. But, the Russians are a determined lot and they get it eventually. The Chinese? 2. What a load of absolute horse crap -

seriously where do you get off ?

The Russians have pretty much always been considered by all and sundry to be MILES ahead of the US
on rocket technology - the US is famous for throwing piles of money at things which don't work, while the Russians
have been famous for innovating with limited budgets in order to counter the US money gun.

While the US poured TRILLIONS into created sophisticated air craft carriers the Russians simply developed the Sun-burner missile -
a phenomenal peice of kit which was capable of taking out any aircraft carrier on earth - nothing could stop it, for a tiny fraction of the price
of a jet airplane - one missile - rendered entire aircraft carriers obsolete.

Let not forget these are the same pesky Russians who pretty much beat the US in every single space there was - the only race the US won the Russians were not even competing in because it was pointless and ridiculously expensive - so be even wining it you lost - you looked stupid pouring that much money into a marketing exercise - while the Russians were busy setting up their space stations.

These are the same Russians who have such a reliable, cheap and productive space lifting platform that the US retired their entire space shuttle program because it is completely redundant next to the Russian heavy lifting program.

Further the Chinese have been in space since the 60's, in fact a communist china along with Russia, despite their public differences had a great deal of technology cooperation, and still do.

The Chinese have currently in their possession what is widely considered the most sophisticated anti-aircraft carrier missile on earth - a weapon the Americans have acknowledged is a complete game changer in global naval dominance - a land based weapon which travels so fast that even if you could hit it the explosive force would still take out half your carrier fleet.

The American Aurora program, permanent space based aircraft deployed from space in order to attack any target within three minutes using scram jet technology (which received large input from the Australian RMIT jet laboratory), was developed in order to counter act the actual launching of these missiles - stop them before they leave the launch pad, a technique devised against the German rocket technology - which the Americans COPIED....

On top of this are Russia and Chinas defensive rocket systems which make the US patriot and subsequent replacements and upgrades look like the corporate profit mongering pieces of garbage they are - the s-400 and new s-500 are miles ahead of US tech - there is a bloody good reason why even Israel uses them - and why Israel has done everything in their power to prevent Iran getting the decades old s-300 system which would stop the Israelis attacking the Iranians. Let alone the s-400 or s-500.

AS far as accusing china of stealing anything - when America is 8000 years old and has bestowed as many ground breaking innovations on the planet as China has then you can start pointing the finger - maybe you should do some research into just how advanced China really is - China was like Silicon valley to an Amazoninian rain forest tribe for the better part of all of human history - the Americans show up with 40 years of progress and think their shit doesn't stink, especially when most of that was STOLEN from GERMAN, English, Russian SCIENTISTS cause you were too stupid to work it out for yourself - (operation paperclip sunshine - look into it).


And for all your posturing, all your grand standing - all your f-22 and f-35 jets are grounded, they dont work, while the Russians are selling theirs to everyone who has a cent to spare -

American exceptionalism is bad enough, it stinks to high heaven for its ignorance and erroneous assumptions, but American arrogance is quite simply the worst - false, misguided, utterly wrong and self deluding.

The simple fact of the matter is the US policy has been to use cash instead of brains a policy which is now categorically failing - while the Chinese and Russians use brains because they don't have the cash - and well - all you can come up with to combat that reality is childish insults which are meaningless and wrong.


At the end of the day - if China and the US went to war it wouldn't last 12 months - when everything is said and done the simple fact that they can march a billion people into your country there would be nothing you can do short of resorting to nukes - and you would not win that either.

I don't think either the U.S or China wants any part of a war with the other. Both sides possess the ability to kill on such massive scale that a war between the two would border on apocalyptic.

The big and powerful countries mentioned all have big powerful egos as well.

And Americans aren't the only ones stealing or have stolen military secrets.
