WERC woos Roy Moore for air job (Clear Channel - 10 Commandments judge)
How about a radio lineup of Paul Finebaum, Rush Limbaugh and Judge Roy Moore?

That's the hope of officials at NewsRadio 960 WERC-AM. The Clear Channel Communications station in Birmingham has offered the deposed Alabama Supreme Court chief justice the chance to host his own radio talk show.

"Since the courts have continued to deny Judge Moore his elected position, we at NewsRadio 960 and Clear Channel want to offer him a job to come and work with us," says Steve Versnick, WERC program director. "It's another way for Judge Moore to serve the public."

4. I'll second that
Nothing could be better than Roy Moore whipping up the hard-right fundies to abandon Bush. All Democrats should do whatever it takes to promote the Roy Moore presidential candidacy in 2004!!

2. what they're really thinking
they say "It's another way for Judge Moore to serve the public."

but what they're really thinking is:

"Let's find a way to keep him busy so he doesn't run against our beloved *"

3. "San Antonio-based Clear Channel owns five stations in Birmingham."
Tell me about it. Clear Channel and another radio mega-corporation own everything in Birmingham. There's no variety, no decent local programming to speak of, and the morning drive time "radio personalities" make me want to puke.

Roy Moore will fit right in. The right wingers here will love it.

5. Well, they had to get somebody
