FBI revisit sources in anthrax probe
http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/ledgerenquirer/news/nation/8676987.htm

HARTFORD, Conn. - (KRT) - While Justice Department officials publicly express hope that a scientific analysis of the anthrax used in the 2001 letter attacks will help them find the killer, FBI field agents have recently revisited old and long-ignored leads.

On Tuesday, agents interviewed former Army microbiologist Ayaad Assaad for 2 1/2 hours. They asked detailed questions about his knowledge of drying anthrax into a fine powder like that used in the attacks, and took documents he offered them to show where he was when the first batch of letters was sent.

Assaad and his attorney both said the agents assured them on Tuesday that he is not a suspect.

FBI agents interviewed Assaad once before, on Oct. 3, 2001, after an anonymous letter warned that he might be "planning to mount a biological attack." But despite several offers to provide more information, Assaad had not been re-interviewed since the first suspicious anthrax infection came to light the next day.

1. "White House has bad news cycle, auditions new sniper and anthraxer."
Oh, shit. Folks is gonna die here in the US again to break up the negative news cycle the White House is losing to.

Did you know that one of the victims of the Beltway Sniper back in 2001 was an FBI intelligence analyst?

Her death was probably the intended object along with the terrorising of Congress to pass the 'Patriot Act' and just roll over to the neocons.

Few people know that one of the victims was Linda Gail Franklin, a 47-year-old analyst at FBI headquarters in Washington, DC, shot dead in the parking lot of Seven Corners mall, in Arlington, Virginia. Franklin's employer, the National Infrastructure Protection Center at the FBI, is the bureau's hi-tech leg for its domestic terrorism group.

The Center's website describes its mission as follows:

"The National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) serves as a national critical infrastructure threat assessment, warning, vulnerability, and law enforcement investigation and response entity. The NIPC provides timely warnings of international threats, comprehensive analysis and law enforcement investigation and response. The mission of the NIPC is to:

detect, deter, assess, warn, respond, and investigate unlawful acts involving computer and information technologies and unlawful acts, both physical and cyber, that threaten or target our critical infrastructures;
manage computer intrusion investigations;
support law enforcement, counterterrorism, and foreign counterintelligence missions related to cyber crimes and intrusion;
support national security authorities when unlawful acts go beyond crime and are foreign-sponsored attacks on United States interests; and
coordinate training for cyber investigators and infrastructure protectors in government and the private sector."

2. Why don't they conduct a real investigation?
Is it because you always end up with same people with government ties and government biowarfare contracts. Why won't the government provide exemplars from the most well known suspects to its contract forensic expert that broke the unibomber case?

Let's start with those who participated in the "let's see what it would be like to send anthrax through the mail" exercise in which Hatfill, Alibek, and Patrick were allegedly involved. I'd interogate every biowarfare defense technician that works in mobile containment labs for BMI, and the other very few industries that operate in this field. I'd scare em and offer them immunity to spill. But no one wants to find out, because most likely, a US government intel agency is behind this.

A person at AMI where the first anthrax fatality originated not only worked with the first victim but was connected circumstantially to housing provided to known 911 terrorists and a airfield they visited. What about that glaring lead? What about the American at OU that the bought a terrorist ticket to Flight 93? What about the put options investors at Deutschebank AB? The FBI has to know who these people are but doesn't want you to know.

We are talking about a dynasty of arms dealers, contractors and industrialists, who have profited from leading America into wars for a century. Does anyone think that they are going to be brought to justice? They are connected to the most powerful financial dynasties in America. Administrations come and they go, these people are always in power.
